About Us

The McLeod County Historical Society began in 1940 and was later re-organized in 1952. Our aim is to not only preserve local history, but to offer a fun, entertaining, and informative way to learn how the past has shaped the present. With four galleries, an authentic log cabin, and an extensive library, we offer a range of educational entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
