The McLeod County Historical Society has a small number of commemorative items available for sale. These items can be purchased at the Heritage Center or by mail. An order form is available for printing. The items are pictured and described below.
1. A commemorative ceramic coffee mug with the image of Martin McLeod designed by Les Kouba and McLeod County Historical Society imprinted on the cup. $3.50
2. Heavy metallic commemorative medallion of the McLeod County Historical Society with Kouba's Martin McLeod image on the face. Two crossed American flags appear on the reverse side. $1.00
3. Handy carrying case for addresses consist of a magnetic metal case with an accordion style fold out identification card, with room for 20 addresses and phone numbers. $1.00
4. 11" tall flag of McLeod County with a plastic staff and wooden base makes this an attractive desk or tabletop adornment. $1.00
5. McLeod County history is presented in an attractive hardbound book published in 1979. The cover displays a three dimensional image of Martin McLeod. With over 680 pages, the book provides a comprehensive history of the County as well as the cities, villages, townships and organizations operating over the years. Over 500 pages are devoted to family histories of residents. With an extensive index, this book is a treasure for family history enthusiasts. $50.00
6. Favorite recipes, old household hints and folklore remedies makes this cookbook entertaining reading while providing practical recipes for small dinners to gatherings of 50 people or more. It was compiled from recipes provided by county residents and reflects the diverse ethnic background of the residents. $5.00
7. Carlos Avery, an early Hutchinson resident is depicted in this brief 1993 biography. He was an early newspaper editor and Superintendent of Schools in McLeod County. An avid naturalist, he was appointed by the Minnesota governor to the Minnesota Game and Fish Commission serving 12 years. The Carlos Avery Refuge in Minnesota is named in his honor. $1.00
