SILVER LAKE
The town of Silver Lake is situated on the north shore of the lake in Hale Township. In 1874 a few houses had been built in the town known as Fremont. John J. Jerabek, John Mimms and John S. Totusek bought a store from Theodore Mimms in 1881 and laid out the townsite of Silver Lake.

some existing only in memory, but vital to knowledge of the town.
