McLeod County in the Great War

As we look forward to 2017 and a new focus for the Museum’s historical research and theme, we are very honored to have the opportunity to share our collection of World War I artifacts, documents and photos in, “McLeod County in the Great War”.  As many of you know 2017 will mark the 100 year anniversary of the United State’s entrance into the first World War.  For the past two years, Museum staff and volunteers have been working to document and research this important anniversary to help us remember and honor the citizens who fought over seas or supported the soldiers from the home front.  We would like to add your memories and stories to our collection.  If you remember a relative who served in World War I, or you served in a U.S. war or conflict, please share your story below and help us to fulfill our vision of, “Preserving the Past, Understanding the Present and Inspiring the Future!”
