McLeod County Historical Society Annual Meeting & Program:

Monday, October 18th-5-7 P M

Guest Speaker Gary Lenz Presenting: “Lost Towns of the Railroads”

Menu:  Baked Chicken, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, Green Bean Amandine,     Chocolate Vanilla Marble Cake, Coffee or Milk-$10 per person

The McLeod County Historical Society would like to invite you and your family to our 2010 Annual Meeting and Program on Monday, October 18th at the McLeod County Historical Museum from 5-7 P M.   A delicious dinner and dessert will be served by Joanie’s Catering of Hutchinson, MN, starting at 5:30 P M, followed by our guest speaker presentation “Lost Towns of the Railroads” by Gary Lenz.  Gary is a resident of Winsted, MN and a long time member of the Historical Society.  Mr. Lenz is a huge railroad enthusiast and a member of the Luce Line Railroad organization.  Gary will present a slide show and historical talk on the towns that lived and died by the rails in McLeod County.

The board of directors and staff will present this year’s Volunteer and Donor of the Year awards, along with the Society’s highlighted goals for the future!  Board Member Elections, a short business meeting, and revision approval of the Society’s By-laws will follow.  Copies of recommended By-Law revisions are available at the Museum and will be included in this year’s Annual Report. 

Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 13th!  Please send in or drop off  a check or money order for the cost of your meal/s.  Unlike in years past, we will not be able to hold seats without prepayment.  If you can not attend, but would still like to contribute to the event and the preservation of McLeod County History, please send a check or money order in the amount you would like to donate to:
